Sacra insula, the sacred island is a symbolic work that surprises with its grandeur. The construction from which lush vegetation emerges becomes a unique and inviolable place. If in Latin sacra means « what is under the protection of the gods», here the protection is borne by men. The relationship between nature and human beings is one of coexistence but men, to ensure their survival, carry the weight of their own responsibilities. The engraved details are meticulous and partly strengthened by drypoint. The accurate printing makes the whole appear in an indefinite space and out of time.
