This composition of books arranged in bulk on shelves recalls the world of writing and the clock that of the passing of time. The balance of shapes, the play of diagonals and geometric decorations on the book spines offer a pleasant view. The apparent disorder, rich in details, does not disturb. The drypoint creates contrasts between whites and absolute blacks. The round size of the copper helps to make the whole harmonious.
