n. 202 The clock-woman

From an indefinite and timeless space, this feminine being - there is the male version, L'homme horloge (cat. 163) - reminds us of our existence linked more and more intimately to the rhythms of modern life. Despite her smile, the character is disquieting: in the hectic life the homo tecnologicus can not understand men's words or their feelings because he acts without thinking or passes without stopping. This copper, engraved in June 1991, offers harmonious contrasts in its tonal values.
