n. 851 The outstretched hand

The Outstretched Hand is an engraving of striking contrasts: a beautiful, bright sky draws our gaze, clouds billow across the space, the atmosphere is serene, and the sun is not far away. Three people lean on the edge of the well; one of them extends his hand, while the others observe. The light projected onto the wall of the well and the concentric circles of the masonry draw us to the bottom. The darkness deepens, generating a state of anguish. How can we escape from here? An engraving for those who enjoy strong sensations.
