n. 832 The passionate bibliophile

The world of writing in symbiosis with art generates great passions (the word passio, of Latin origin, evokes suffering, illness but also powerful emotions). In this small engraved copper, the character is dedicated to reading, his gaze and the movement of his fingers betray the love for paper and written words. The etched pattern and the black background with a touch of drypoint reinforce the intimate relationship between the bookworm and his books.
