n. 475 Abandoned salons

Curious fate of this engraving which suggests abandonment - the title is explicit - and which has been "forgotten" for many years in a drawer ...
Made from sketches of an abandoned noble floor, this etching puts highlighting a balance between the architectural order and the disorder of heterogeneous objects that clutter the space. The details are drawn quickly, the line is dynamic and causes the eye to focus on the essential: that of getting lost in a maze without end.
