The mechanisms revealed could evoke the fate of objects subjected to the ravages of time, but in this engraving, it's not about whether the time of the clocks corresponds to the time of the stars, but rather about understanding a composition made of scattered debris of apparent insignificance. These complex cogwheels, these springs with a slightly mad agility, these shamelessly open cases remind us that life follows its destiny. Hours, minutes, seconds, the dancing hands are at the service of humanity. When they lose their familiar tick-tock, the gears gain a new freedom: they become poetry. una nuova libertà: diventano poesia.
