The atmosphere in this engraving is very different: the contemplatives sitting on top of the tower observe the world around them. Like dervishes in their magician's headdresses, their thoughts take flight in a sky traversed by orbits traced to the buris. Vertigo fills the space and drags us into a dream dimension.
