n. 535 The suspended garden

A few steps lead us to a garden enclosed by a low wall. The place is lonely and the lush vegetation that surrounds it accentuates the impression of abandonment and isolation. However, the author of this small etching imagined it as a refuge- island, where you can breathe and cultivate your thoughts in the light of the sun and in complete freedom.
