Despite the small size of copper, this reveals a dramatic landscape: a ship, caught by the storm, is wrecked and its sailors try to throw a lifeboat into the sea. The drypoint, with nervous signs, accentuates the violence of the elements; large diagonals cross the space and the black ink enhances the contrasts between light and dark tones. In this way, the prospects are reversed and the order is upset.
