«The elephant is the wisest among animals, the only one who remembers his previous lives; he therefore remains quiet for a long time, meditating on the latter », says a Buddhist text. In this small copper, the island becomes his home town, a serene microcosm. The drypoint highlights the velvety blacks of the night, the Oxford paper gives us a warm and deep atmosphere. Forgotten (or asleep) in a drawer, the copper was recently printed on the presses of the atelier.
