n. 121 The path

A beautiful quote from Matilda of Magdebourg (13th century) introduces us to this etching: "there is only one path and it is the one on which you proceed with your whole being". The theme of the path thus takes on a symbolic value: the little beguine invites us to accept our human condition and to face life with courage in its physical and spiritual dimension. The sheet is embellished with a
background of bible paper that makes the etching signs warmer and more delicate.
