Antigone

Last tragedy of the cycle of Theban dramas (after Oedipus Re and Oedipus in Colon), this small edition is dedicated to Antigone and her latest replica. Forced to choose between two contradictory proposals, Antigone finds herself confronted with this dilemma: obeying the laws of men or those of the gods? remain faithful to his beliefs by accepting death or being dishonored? Like time that destroys everything, our human condition seems conceived with a fatal outcome, certainly painful but necessary. To learn to live or accept fate. The etching is resumed with the drypoint to highlight the strong contrasts.
