Considered a simple exercise, this zinc plate presents a succession of different themes, created without an initial idea and for pure pleasure. This is how the themes of the poets’ island, of the rooted tower and of Hasdrubal, Carthaginian general, Hannibal's brother, are born and interweave in a harmonious way. It is an unusual etching, with a poetic atmosphere thanks to the use of the dry point and the Bible paper.
